Flexible traffic route demarcation where rigid barriers are not an option
In many warehouse and industrial facilities, defining traffic routes clearly is essential but installing fixed barriers is not always practical. Where space is tight, routes change frequently or the risk of vehicle contact makes a rigid system inappropriate, the Flexi-Delineator provides a highly visible, low-risk alternative.
Unlike rigid bollards and barriers, the Flexi-Delineator crushes and bends under vehicle impact and returns to its original shape afterwards. There is no damage to the delineator and no damage to the vehicle. No replacement is needed after a collision. That makes it one of the lowest maintenance traffic management products in the Brandsafe range.
Polyurethane construction that returns to shape
The Flexi-Delineator is manufactured from 100% recyclable polyurethane. The material is flexible enough to crush completely under impact from MHE, pallet trucks and other vehicles, and resilient enough to return to its original upright position afterwards without permanent deformation. This combination of flexibility and resilience is what makes it suitable for locations where repeated vehicle contact is expected and a rigid system would sustain damage or cause damage to passing vehicles.
The 80mm diameter post carries four reflective bands, providing high visibility across the full height of the delineator in low-light conditions, at night and in busy operational environments where driver awareness is critical.
Installation and fixing
The Flexi-Delineator is a bolt-down surface mounted system. Each post fixes using three M10 x 100mm flange head coach screws with nylon plugs, supplied with the delineator. The fixture hole diameter is 12mm and the required drill hole diameter is 18mm. The system is suitable for both tarmac and concrete substrates, giving it flexibility across internal and external installation locations.
One height is available as standard: 1000mm. This covers the majority of MHE and vehicle visibility requirements in warehouse and industrial environments.
Colour options and visibility
The Flexi-Delineator is available in three standard colour combinations. Black and yellow suits general caution and traffic route marking. Yellow and silver suits high-visibility route demarcation in well-lit environments. Black and silver provides a professional, high-contrast finish for internal applications.
Additional colour combinations including White and Red and White and Blue are available on request, subject to minimum order quantities. All variants carry four reflective bands as standard.
Where the Flexi-Delineator is specified
The Flexi-Delineator is used wherever traffic routes need to be clearly defined and vehicle contact is a realistic possibility. Typical locations include warehouse aisles, loading bay approaches, pedestrian crossing points, vehicle turning areas and any route where MHE and pedestrians share operational space.
It is particularly well suited to locations where a fixed barrier would obstruct operational movement, where routes change regularly, or where the consequences of a vehicle striking a rigid barrier would cause more disruption than the contact itself. It works effectively as a standalone traffic management measure or alongside Armco barriers and other fixed protection systems in the Brandsafe range.
