Safety Barriers

Safety barriers help separate people, vehicles, equipment and infrastructure across busy warehouse, logistics and industrial environments. The risk varies by location, so the right barrier system depends on the application. Whether you need to define pedestrian walkways, protect racking ends, safeguard loading areas or reduce the risk of vehicle impact around key assets, Brandsafe supplies practical barrier systems designed for real operational sites.

Our Safety Barriers range includes polymer safety barriers, Armco barriers and accessories, pedestrian barriers, guardrail systems, handrails and rack end barriers. Each system suits a different level of risk, from simple route definition and pedestrian segregation through to higher-risk impact protection in areas with forklift, MHE or vehicle movement. Selected polymer barriers are tested in accordance with PAS 13, providing documented impact performance and deflection data for specifiers and health and safety managers. With steel, Armco and polymer options available for internal and external environments, Brandsafe can help customers select barrier protection matched to their layout, traffic flow and site requirements.

Choosing the right safety barrier

Choosing the right safety barrier depends on how your site operates, what needs to be protected and the level of impact risk in each area. A pedestrian route, racking end, loading bay, warehouse doorway and vehicle route may all require different types of protection.

Pedestrian segregation

For pedestrian segregation, polymer pedestrian barriers, steel pedestrian barriers, guardrails and handrails can help define safe walking routes and separate people from MHE traffic. These systems are commonly used in warehouses, distribution centres, manufacturing sites and food production facilities where clear routes and visible separation are important.

Asset, racking and infrastructure protection

For asset, racking and infrastructure protection, polymer bumper barriers, rack end barriers, Armco systems and low-level guardrails can help protect vulnerable points from forklift, pallet and vehicle impact. These products are often specified around racking runs, machinery, walls, columns, loading bay edges, mezzanine supports and other areas where repeated contact could cause damage or disruption.

Material and performance considerations

Material choice is also important. Polymer barriers can be well suited to environments where visibility, deflection, hygiene and corrosion resistance are key considerations. Steel and Armco systems provide a robust option for areas requiring heavy-duty physical protection, external vehicle route protection or clear separation between operational zones.

Where applicable, selected PAS 13-tested polymer barriers can also provide documented impact performance and deflection data to support product selection.

Matching the system to the risk

The best safety barrier layout is rarely about using one product everywhere. It is about matching the system to the risk, vehicle type, impact direction, available space, floor condition and people or assets being protected.
