Configurable post and mesh panel system
Workplace layouts rarely stay the same forever. Because of this, Security Caging and Fencing uses a modular system that can be configured during on-site installation. Posts and twin wire mesh panels combine to create secure cage runs, access points and enclosed areas around the site requirement.
The system is designed around maximum post centres of 2500mm. Finished height options are 2050mm and 3050mm, allowing specifiers and facilities teams to choose the correct enclosure height for the risk, asset value and operational setting. This gives the system enough flexibility for standard secure zones, taller enclosure requirements and site-specific caging layouts.
Twin wire mesh panels for visibility and control
Secure areas need protection, but they often still need visibility. The system uses twin wire 656 mesh panels with a 200mm x 50mm aperture. This gives the enclosure a clear visual profile while still creating a defined physical boundary around restricted or protected areas.
This visibility helps supervisors, operatives and facilities teams monitor the enclosed area without opening the cage. It also supports safer movement around the enclosure, because people can see activity, stored goods and access points more easily. The result is a secure zone that does not feel hidden from the wider workplace.
Access and emergency egress options
Secure caging must control access without preventing safe exit. Security Caging and Fencing can integrate a range of access and locking options depending on the site’s security requirement. These options include gates, padlocks, digi-locks, euro-cylinder locks, emergency push pads and monkey tail bolts.
This allows each enclosure to match the level of control required. A stock cage may only need padlock access, while a higher-use operational zone may need a more controlled gate arrangement. Emergency egress options also help support safer use where people may need to exit from inside the enclosure.
Mild steel posts and modular fixing detail
A secure enclosure depends on the strength and consistency of its post system. Posts are fabricated from 60mm x 60mm mild steel square hollow section and supplied with baseplates, pre-thread fence clip connections and floor anchors. This creates a practical fixing arrangement for modular cage installation.
Each post is fixed using 4x Safety Plus floor anchors. This gives installation teams a clear fixing specification and supports stable installation on suitable floor slabs. Because of this, the system can create secure zones without requiring a permanent internal room or fully welded bespoke enclosure.
Finish options for different site requirements
Industrial caging systems need to suit both the operating environment and the wider site appearance. Security Caging and Fencing is available in three finish options: galvanised posts with black mesh, yellow posts with black mesh, or custom colour options.
Galvanised posts provide a practical finish for general industrial use. Yellow posts improve visual identification in busy environments where people and vehicles operate nearby. Custom colour options can also support site branding, zoning plans or project-specific visibility requirements.
